Albrecht Wood Interiors was founded in 1989 by John Albrecht. His two brothers, Rick and Scott, joined him. They vowed quality would be the cornerstone of everything they did, and no matter what it took to do the job right, they would never settle for less.
At the age of 16, John began working in the construction business. He started by cleaning up job sites and moved up the ladder from framer to trim carpenter to custom cabinet builder. In 1989, he founded Albrecht Wood Interiors as a custom cabinet and trim shop. The company quickly grew and began taking on full remodeling projects, acting as the general contractor. Since then, Albrecht Wood Interiors has expanded to build full custom homes and continues to be one of the Dayton area's preeminent remodeling and custom cabinetry contractors.
Bob and Steve Rhoads started Rhoads Quality Construction with an emphasis on providing quality built homes and remodels.
Rhoads Quality Construction became R.A. Rhoads, growing to become one of the most respected high-end home builders in the Dayton region.
R.A. Rhoads became Rhoads Estate Homes and joined Albrecht Wood Interiors in creating a single one-stop-shop for any high-end construction needs.
As the only home builder in the area recognized nationally for award winning design, the Rhoads team has built homes for some of Dayton’s most elite and discerning residents.
With John's brothers Rick and Scott joining the Albrecht team from the start, and Bob and Steve Rhoads founding the Rhoads brand together, both companies have their roots in family. With John's sons Brian and Chris joining the company, the legacy of both companies will continue to rest in the family for years to come. However, neither company could thrive without the addition of those that make up the "extended family." Destry Manson, Elizabeth Fig, and Juan Funez each work in the field ensuring each and every project continues to meet the rigorous quality standards set by the company's first generation of craftsmen. Marlene Orendorf, working as both an interior designer and project coordinator, helps to keep us up to speed on the latest trends and our projects operating smoothly. And Cathy Miller who continually keeps the team organized, moving in the right direction, and puts up with us all day in and day out.
